Next-Level IT now offers remote monitoring of servers and desktops within your environment. This offering provides us with instant insight of any errors of applications, Faults of your operating system or server/desktop hardware, Patch management and more.

Gone are the days of spending 30 minutes to an hour and performing manual reports of your server or desktops’ overall health. We can now monitor all metrics on a 24/7 basis.

How does it work?

Next-Level IT deploys a lightweight agent on the server/desktop devices that you would like to monitor. Once installed, It begins to capture performance, processes, application’s, and many other metrics. These monitors are then sent back to the monitoring system to be intelligently reviewed. If a threshold is exceeded or a warning is reported, Next-Level It’s help-desk is immediately notified and we contact you for quick remediation.

Why do I need this?

This comes as a highly recommended service for your organization. For example, Let’s say you have a server that is running in your “Server Closet”. How often do you check on this server? Do you know what the  lights on the front of the server mean? How often does your IT person check on this server?

When assembling servers we commonly try to build redundancy into them to prevent outages. Hard disk array’s referred to as RAID arrays help prevent data loss by allowing a hard drive to fail and not lose data. When that drive fails and no one notices, what happens when the other drives fail? The answer is most likely Downtime or worse… Data Loss.

By implementing this service, an alert would be sent immediately notifying a drive failure. A ticket would be generated and we would  work to replace the hard drive and rebuild the RAID array. All of this would begin to occur within minutes instead of days, weeks, or months.
